Newbie from Big Thicket area in Texas

Howdy everyone. Came upon your site by accident while looking for a good hunting smock. One link lead to another, then a segway or two...and here I am.
Live in the Big Thicket, hunt in the Davy Crockett Natl Forest, fish in the Angelina Natl forest. Minimalist approach to overnighting while enjoying these activities.
Found I liked hammock camping years ago when I threw a connecting rod in my truck that carried the cab-over, the bite was on and I wasn't going to miss that. Cotton rope hammock and a mummy bag from when I was a Boy Scout. Froze to death for a week, but caught fish.

I'm here to learn how to do it right.
