Hey guys, a long while back, there was a post about using a ring inside a gathered end hammock, one on each end, to spread the ends out a bit. I thought it was interesting, but didnt book mark it, and now cant find the post. Does anyone remember that post?
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

I know of several individuals using a spreader on the head end of a gathered end hammock, but I must have missed the thread you're speaking of. I'll have to look for that, I'm very curious.
There was a mention of using a big carabiner in the mini spreader bar thread... Maybe that's what your thinking about...

This was something different-a big ring, maybe 5 or 6 in across, inside the hammock at the foot and head ends---it was a pretty origional idea, even by hammock forums standards!

I saw something about a guy using a tarp grabber thing that he used to hold his synthetic underquilt up to hos hammock... But I don't remember any ring...

Funny, I can't find it either but I remember it being a multi page thread.
Afraid I'm gonna have to give up the search. Tried every serach term I could think of, went back page by page in the DIY section, even tried searching through the gallery as I remember a picture from the thread and nothing.
Now I'm tired and think I'm going to do something about that pretty soon.

So I don't this I found it, but I did find this thread where Demosticks mentions putting a ring through the end channel.
