Do you have to uq when using a Arctic mummy bag in the hammock. I have slept on the ground with this bag and on a army cot and was warm while I was in Colorado elk hunting

Yes as Mayor Shug says, you will need something besides the bottom of your sleeping bag covering your backside. The wind will rob your heat real fast....even if no UQ, a weather shield undercover will help.

Yes, you will. When you're laying on top of the bag, it compresses the insulation inside it (which happens even to those big army bags), reducing its ability to insulate you.

When laying on the ground, you're touching something that's much warmer than the air, so the loss of insulation isn't as noticable. But, when hanging in a hammock, it is very much more noticable.

Also, it depends on the lows you'll experience and how warm of a sleeper you are. If it doesn't drop below 50 or 55 you might be just fine. Others need something below 65 or 70. Below that, though, and you'll likely begin wishing for a pad or underquilt. The varying conditions is one of the important reasons for backyard testing.

Start with just the bag and then slowly add stuff beneath you as you get cold to see what you need at different temperatures.

you will need something under you, either a UQ or a pad. My first camping hang, night temps on the river were only around 55. I thought "no need for the UQ or Pad". At midnight at 62 degrees in the hammock, I had Cold Butt Syndrom. I learned to always put in the pad or hang the underquilt, then adjust temp inside the hammock by pulling on or off the TQ, clothes, beanie, silk liner, etc. It is NOT fun getting up in the middle of the night due to CBS, just to turn on the headlight, find the UQ or pad, deploy same, crawl back in, cover up, adjust stuff, remind yourself you caused the CBS.....
