Doors included, beefy snaps, beefy stress points on all tie-outs.
Thank you for your input. I appreciate you bringing up another option as I had not looked at underground quilt yet. Although I would still go with the SF I think your mention of them is great since it is the idea of people spreading the word of quality products they endorse that makes products better and more accessible. That's why there is so many great companies that are involved in hammock camping!

The Superfly is great, but start saving for your next tarp. In fair weather the Superfly is way more than you need. A small diamond is a good complement in your hammock hanging arsonal because, only 2 stakes really simplifies set up.

Buy 'em both. The great thing about these tarps is they pack down so small, you can keep several on your gear shelf. My 'guest-gear' is now far more enviable than my go-to kit from 5 years ago.

I have been using the Mamajamba for about 18 months. I have the door kit, but have only used them twice. Been down to -5°F under it. Sat out a summer storm under it in porch mode with three other hikers. It's a great tarp.

Got a winter palace on order, so maybe I'll fall in love with doors yet, but I've never run into weather my Mamajamba couldn't handle. There isn't much spare room once you close the ends in heavy conditions, but I was dry and warm in my hammock.

I don't think you could go wrong with either choice. When you factor in the price, weight, and quality - Warbonnet tarps score high. It's a pretty low risk gamble. If a particular tarp doesn't work for your camping style, it'd likely go quick on the For Sale forums.

I have been using the BMJ for about a year in all kind of conditions. It has never let me down. If some thought is given to wind direction , not a problem. Great tarp. And it does have side pull-outs. I do use it in "porch" mode most of the time.

April Showers 2013 Quinn shooting from under his Superfly while I was invaded by LVG ground dwellers under mine.
We had about 3-4 inches of rain and in no way regretted the extra coverage.

Hodad - that was one serious rain storm. More like you were under a waterfall.

That looks like quite the test.
