I use USPS tyvek envelopes, plastic zip lock bags and or ripstop nylon stuff bags depending on the type of stakes.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Yes, I prefer the one with the black screw on lid. They still carry them along with the snap on green lid. I just grab the black lid ones. They are great for the stakes and other small stuff.

I don't use a bag. Just throw them in my back pack pocket and they are just fine.

Sometimes I just place them in a side pocket of my Go-lite Pinnacle pack. It's a stretch side, and holds them pretty good.

Pouch made from a Tyvek envelope and wrapped with ducktape. I wrap about 20 feet extra tape on there, too, in case I catch Yogi swiping picanic baskets.

I have a mesh bag that came with an old cook kit that holds all my lines, stakes, and associated kit. I store them in one of the side zip pockets on my Osprey Kestrel.

Currently I carry some dull and cheap stakes. So I have no problem sticking them in a Zip-Loc baggy with my cordage.
