    What is the lynx?

I was wondering what exactly the lynx was. Is it just a flat rectangular UQ, or is it one that is specifically cut and shaped for the RR, like could i use another UQ on my RR, or because of the shape of the hammock is the lynx the only one that fits well. Pics would be much appreciated. I'm trying to figure out if I can make my own, or if I should just buy a lynx.

Shaped to fit the hammock like 007's suit was fitted for him.

I can't say enough how well the two fit together. I was laying in the RR the other night with the lynx on it and felt under me. It was so perfectly taught and snugged up that I thought it was the length-wise ridge of the RR. I also LOVE that because it's cut and matched to fit it that my full length 3-season weighs as much as other partial-length quilts for gathered end-hammocks. It helps offset the weight of the poles.

I like the RR even more and sleep in it more often (I also like gathered end hammocks) just because I know I get such a perfect fitting insulation system.

Sorry - I got so caught up in my love for the Lynx that I didn't answer your full question.

Buy it. Right now. While it's on sale. Seriously, don't wait. You can make other UQs that come close to something from HG, etc. It would be tough to match something that has the fit that this thing does, though.

+1 Exceptionally well fitted and no fiddling with the suspension...there are no adjustments supplied or needed. Also maintains full usability of the RR side pockets that other UQs may interfere with.

With that said, most other UQs can be used with the RR with an additional fiddle factor.

There has never been a better fitting UQ for a hammock, hands down. Absolutley no fiddle factor...set it, and forget it.

    What he said.

No more shock-cord wrestling matches in the middle of the night. No more UQ slipping off my shoulders. No more air gaps because I didn't tighten correctly or I'm too asym. No more feeling like a taco.

It's so easy a Caveman could do it, and fall asleep, and think he'd gone to heaven.

I wondered if I should get a Lynx or Incubator and I'm REALLY glad I got the Lynx. If you are going to primarily use your Ridgerunner, then definitely get the Lynx.
