Im working on a tarp setup where I can get a 11' hammock.as close to the ridgeline as possible. Then supplementing tarp with other picecs of gear. ......So in less words Im working on my Asym Setup.
Im using a whoopie hook suspension and the one problem Im facing is rain....my whoopie hooks are out in the rain....6" of continuos loop. Im pushing everything already as far as weight limits...fabric...cordage. etc. Im using amsteel loops though for the whoopie hooks on.dynaglide whoopies.
*Whats the shortest I can make a continuous loop and still hold up my 6'7" 230 lbs. Id like to shorten it down a couple inches but dont wanna end up on the cold hard ground.
Right now Im trying a 110" ridgleine on my hammock and a 132" (actaully 130") ridge line on my tarp. But the cont loops are adding >5" to the drip points which is about all my coverage
Thanks!
