Video: Finally Finished the Foothills Part 1

Since I had some time off from work and school, I tried for a solo thru hike on the Foothills Trail 76.2miles from Oconee State Park to Table Rock State Park in South Carolina. The trip plan was for 3.5 days due to daylight and weather. That's what it took but with some surprises along the way. Part one...enjoy.

Looks like a great start to a hike and dang what a fine meal for the end of the day! Steak, and cheesy rice ... mighty fine!

Your hiking schedule did remind me why I don't like to hike defined miles per day. I get way too distracted by what I see along the trail or the fine folks I meet ... to make point A to point B my objective. Reminds me too much of my work life and that's definitely not why I go to the woods ... to be reminded of schedules and dead lines! ha!

    LOOKING FORWARD TO PART TWO!!!!

    Lazy in the woods Hawk-ustus!
