    Load Bearing Question?

I'm trying a new set up in my basement with cinch buckles and I'm no engineer. Is it considered proper and safe to attach the strap to a carabiner as shown in the picture?

    Thanks.20140402_093330.jpg

That is a perfectly good way of doing it. Just make sure the carabiner is climbing rated and you'll be good to go.

Probably doesn't make a huge difference, but would it be better to flip the carabiner around so that the strap was on the wider end where it would probably lay completely flat instead of bunching up?
