My first DIY top quilt

This is my attempt at a DIY tq. I used 1.1 from diygearsupply and down out of a pillow. I don't think I'll try this on again. It was a little too much sewing for my likes. My back is killing me. Anyways, it ha 3" noseeum baffles, and 12 chambers. Still have to add the channels on the ends for the cinch cord.

I taped all the lines using painters tape.

Almost finished. Jut have to sew channels in the ends.

Thanks. Forgot to mention I'm also adding a couple of snaps in addition to the draw cord to make my foot box. Only so many hours in a day.

Looks toasty warm. Yeah I find it best to do quilts over a week full of nights. Too much time hunched over the sewing machine makes my back stiff, of course this is the perfect excuse to go sleep outside in the hammock.

I agree! One night sleeping under this quilt and you'll be back at the sewing machine!

I try not to do too much at once or my back starts feeling it too.

Looks great!!! Warm & light.

Guys (& gals) You could try putting the sewing machine on a higher table (or sitting in a lower chair). I find that having the needle right in front of my nose makes it easier to see and far less "hunching over".
