Replaced the suspension on my HH Hammock with some amsteel UCR's just like the ones in the vid, hanging this weekend to try them out some more. Tests have gone great, between Sgt Rocks 3 videos I learned every part of the suspension to make it easily and remember there measurements for my next set, thanks!

I think I'm going to make a set of UCRs. I'm still learning this hobby and I'm always looking for new things to try out. Especially if it allows me to get a lighter pack.

Doing the wrong thing never felt so right!

Hung this weekend, suspension worked flawlessly. The addiction of splicing shall return soon for my next set.

Rock I have a question for you, on your mule tape does it say WP12?

I just got mine in from JohnSawyer and mine is WP18, and my scale has it weighing 0.2oz less than my 1" webbing and the mule tape only 12" longer, but 10" shorter than yours are. My 52" WP18 mule tape comes in at 0.8oz before sewing the fixed loop. Not complaining, just trying to figure out the minor differences.

Re: Ultralight hammock suspension, DIY UCRs for less than 1 ounce per line

I don't see any markings at all on my mule tape.

My Mule Tape says, "1800 LB. MULETAPE (R) BYNEPTCO, INC. 401-222-5500 0889" My UCR/Mule Tape combo also weighs more than yours, SGT Rock.
