    Am I doing it right?

I just got my 20 degree incubator for christmas today, and I have a question about suspension. I understand hooking the long piece of shockcord to the hammock suspension, but the bottom piece of the triangle that comes from the channels on the quilt confuses me. I wasn't sure how to rig it (which is why I came here) and I ran the hammock under the short piece of shock cord from the channels. Is this right?

    I hope that helps some.

Also a HUGE thanks to HammockGear. The quality is amazing, and my mother and I thank you for getting it here by Christmas. (the day before actually!) She said if it weren't for you guys it would have gotten here in January, so big thanks! (She's the lady from Lancaster, OH)
    So thanks guys!

The short piece should go under the hammock. http://www.hammockgear.com/under-quilts/ explains the secondary suspension.

I just got mine too. Can't wait to use it

Thanks! Also, is there supposed to be 2 S-biners?

Yes, they should attach to your suspension line

+1 on the others' comments. That piece is a secondary suspension that helps keep things tighter up against you. There should be an s-biner at each end. You should clip each s-biner to the suspension just above the gathered material at each end. Make sure the head is oriented correctly - it's the side with the HG logo patch.

On the current model, the logo patch should be at your left shoulder. It varied on older ones (including "custom made by Stormcrow"). If you look at the photo on their website, you can visually see the differential cut for the body & the leg 'shelf'. The baffles are deeper on the body section:
