    Arrow VA/WV>White Rocks Hike-n-Hang>April 5th-7th, 2013

So this April, me and few friends are going on a 3 day backpacking trip to Wardensville, West Virginia to hike the White Rocks Hike. The trail is on the borderline of WV and VA in George Washington National Forest. Total trail length is 9.5 miles which will be stretched out over 3 days and 2 nights. This should make for a very easy laid back hike because we only have to hike a few miles per day. The trail has a few water sources on the first half of the trip so this will make for lighter pack weights because we wont have to pack so much water.

We havent decided as to which direction to hike the trail loop yet but are open to suggestions.
Trail Head Cords: 39.009547, -78.592464 (<--just plug this into Google Maps)
Just under 4 hour drive from Newport News, VA.
If anybody is interested in going, please feel free to reply. More details to come as the date approaches.

This looks awesome! A little leg stretching and plenty of hang time. And if I read the map right, it looks like at least two longer trails in the vicnity for day hikes. I'm going to put in for some vaca time soon! Thanks!

It is basically a part of a large spiderweb of trails in that area. Lots of options for tweaking the route of the hike.

Great. Hope you can make it. I have few other friends already set to go as well. One of them isnt a hammocker yet. Gonna try and convert him to the dark side.

Gonna do a few more of these shorter/easier hikes until I feel confident with my setup in low temps. Im still new to hammocking and got alot of things to work out with my insulation.
