The hammock is good but I am not a fan off the crap rope they put in or their bulky suspension.

I actually won a single nest at the La hang last year. It's a fine hammock. I switched out the suspension with some whoopies. I like the fact that it has a compression sack built in I have the tan and black one (I really like the color combo)

Just curious, how is the SN versus DN in terms of breathability?

I am considering another parachute hammock (TTTM), and have heard that parachute hammocks can be a bit smothering with too much material. For that reason I wonder if the SN has enough room for someone 5'10" to sleep with a camping pad (eliminating any annoying extra material on the DN).

Is there a big difference between the TTTM and ENO? I may be stuck with TTTM as I've not seen an ENO over here (Ireland) where I live.

    Thanks for the advice.

FWIW...parachute in "parachute hammock" is a reference to the fabric type and states nothing about dimensions. Also, as a reference to fabric type, it is fairly meaningless to me as I have seen many different fabrics called parachute nylon, etc.

    Gmcttr,

Thanks for the reply. Apologies if I got the jargon wrong.

But ENO's Singlenest (SN) and Doublenest (DN) seem to more or less mirror the TTTM single and double, and since they appear to be relatively similar in style, etc., I'm assuming they are more or less cut from the same cloth (pardon the pun).

But that's part of what I want to find out.

I'm hoping someone familiar with both can tell me if the DN if indeed somewhat stifling and smothering unless you are a large person.

    Thanks.

I like the extra fabric of the DN. I bought the DN because the wider the fabric is, the more diagonal I can lay. Plus there's enough space that two of us can lay in it.

Even though the fabric is breathable and wind will come right through, having the extra fabric also keeps in some of the heat and I can wrap it around myself. I tried both and decided to go for the DN for those reasons and if you're trying to decide between the two, I would recommend the DN.

btw - I'm 6'2" 190 so definitely not a large person and I don't feel smothered at all. In fact, the built in stuff sack holds the edge of the hammock over on one side.

I switched out my singlenest for a DN recently. I love the extra fabric, because I can get a better diagonal lay which is much more comfortable for me. I also find the extra fabric retains a little bit of extra warmth. I also have issues trying to get my sleeping bag and foot pad situated, and several times with the SN I felt like I was going to flip out of the hammock while adjusting stuff.
