I have been to Neo's mid Tn hangs a few times and to one in Alabama but I must say this weekend was our best one yet!!!!! Only thing that would have made it better would be if I didn't flip my kayak twice. lol.......
I got to see a ton of new ideas and products. My head is still spinning trying to absorb all the info I got this weekend. We will DEFINITELY be back.

I put my RTT on top of my FJ so we feel really high up. Sometimes I have to use the extension piece on the ladder when I'm on uneven areas. I've camped in mine about 5 times. Once we pulled up late at night and just popped it open and climbed in. Didn't put out all the awnings over the windows. Been in the rain twice in it. Stayed perfectly dry. No leaks. Even some strong winds. My brother Also has one and Come to think of it he hated the mattress too. He put a memory foam topper over it and said its great now.
I had the quicksand colored FJ parked towards the back of the park. With the military star on the door.

My take on pork and beans, step one fry up pound maple breakfast sausage, 1 pound bacon, one pound hot Italian sausage, one pound regular sausage, fry up and ad to dutch oven, ad half pound raw bacon and half pound raw polish sausage. Open five cans of beans, each can should be of different kind of bean. Add water to fill dutch oven. Add three table spoons of triple strap mo lasses, garlic and pepper to taist. Simmer for two hours, roll bacon and fry it in left over pork fat serve deep fryed bacon wrapped bacon to hammock hangers wile beans simmer. Man alive had such a great time at this hang.
Anyone find a tree strap with a dutch clip?

Decamping in the rain doesn't always afford an opportunity for proper goodbyes...just want to say thank you to friends old and new for making the effort to make this reunion. It was a blast.

Had a blast. Even better than the last 2 smokehouse did. Couldn't decide whether to go backpacking, kayaking, eating, talking with great people, look at other hammock setups ............. So I did it all !
What a great time! First hang for me. I'll most definitely be coming back for more. Thanks to everyone for the generosity of knowledge, food and camaraderie. I came solo and just started meeting folks. But now I'm left with trying to sort out names/handles and faces. It may be next year until I can reconcile all that info. Thanks again to Smokehouse for doing the organizing on this get together!
It sure was great seeing old friends again and making some new ones. Thanks Smokehouse for yet another great event!
I too had a great time and loved to see old and new friends. I want to thank everyone for making this an awesome hang. I also want to think Buttinasling, Spider, Zac, and Smokebait(Whoopieslings) for donating gifts for the prizes.
I know anyone who has ever camped with Oldgringo has seen his RedNeck fire pit,,, now sandpiper has comeup with the Mini Redneck fire pit... I was impressed and will be making me one...
Oh,,, The food was the BEST... Hope to see ya'll at other hangs...
