Loved the BSF stream crossing adventure. So count me in as a maybe not sure if I can get out of work those days

T-18 days and counting.
Could be winter, could be spring, but surely will be an awesome time!
Any body else getting fired up?
AND there is the possibility that the traveling team of hiking humor (Roche and Wisenber) may be together on this one. On the Roan my ribs were hurting between the two of them.
Since it is an easy hike and we have all day to get to Hobbs anyone interested in a group breakfast? Friday morning when we wake up we'll be close to the cars before we head out into the stark dismal wilderness.
We tried this at BSF but knew there was not enough time due to terrain and distance needed to cover that first day but this time is different. Thoughts?
I'm getting ready. Won't be able to make a group breakfast--will probably arrive at the trailhead at more like 10:00 or so. Doing some miles over in the Smokies today--getting the legs warmed up.

Les good for you and the Smokies
Looking forward to shaking hands.
Dont know about the group breakfast just yet but at least this time its possible depending on so many variables....sure would be fun breaking bread together before breaking trail if any might agree.
I'll bring the OJ
There are charcoal grills and picnic tables at the trailhead just outside the campsite.
We will be on Tulsa time (barely), so the sun should set around 17:45 each evening. Is 2 mph unreasonable for even the turtles? If that is a clip the slower folks can handle, we could have a breakfast, hit the trail by 10:00 and the last folks would make it to Hobbs around 14:00. Plenty of daylight to setup, peruse others rigs and generally socialize with one another.
If we choose to do breakfast I can bring a Coleman Roadtrip Grill and cook up bacon, sausage, t-bones...
We could feed the Rangers and butter them up!
Just let me know your thoughts. I also have a small Dutch oven that I could do a breakfast casserole or the like, but that is a time investment.
I love to cook. Remember, I used to be a fat guy ;-)
Emcee should bring oranges and Roche can squeeze the OJ fresh!
Afoot and light-hearted, I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me, leading wherever I choose.
Poof and I'll will never see 2 mph. But we have head lamps. There are two routes to Hobbs, we can take the easier of the two.
