    Planes, Trains, and ...

Napping in the backyard yesterday and some Warthogs (planes) flew overhead very very close...Didn't see em because of the tarp. Know they were Warthogs because they fly over us all the time. I'll bet they didn't see me. Felt like I was going to get strafed! Spent the night last night and heard the train in the distance, which sent the coyotes yapping and howling for a while. They make quite the racket out here in the Indiana cornfields and woods. Then this morning as the sunrise was cresting the horizon with its rosy hue, a flock of geese honked their way overhead, competing with the crows of our rooster. Hard to get any rest in my backyard!!

Sounds like how I feel when I hang out on my local hiking trail which is just across from MCAS Cherry Point. Get to listen to fast movers, C130s, Ospreys, variety of helicopters and then the local wildlife.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

All you need to complete your sound collection is a set of railroad tracks within a mile of your house...like we have. Fortunately this morning I was already awake to go water the bushes before the trains started coming by. There are double tracks in out area and there were two trains going opposite directions between 6:30 and 7:00... If any came through during the night they didn't wake me up...

You must live close to Atterbury. I noticed the A-10's the last couple of days as well. Real hard to miss them a few hundred feet above the house. Love those things.
