Introducing backpacking to girlfriend on the AT in MD this June.
I retire next Thursday. The only limit to my hangs will be my imagination.
Scout hang in spring (local).
NY hang early summer
**Dreaming** section of AT with kids late summer OR section of PCT (family in both areas to leave wife with)
I think I'm paddling more this summer. Messed up my ankle last year and don't think it will be up to backpacking long distances.
My hiking partner had shoulder surgery the end of Dec. but should be ready to go by March. We plan to explore a land-locked portion of the Mon Nat. Forest that is seldom seen except by a few locals. We've been talking about this for years and it got cancelled literally the day before the hike last year. We'll also do several hikes in the WV highlands and maybe over on the VA side. My 23 year backpacking partner (another person) had knee surgery a few weeks ago and I hope we can resume our backpacking later this year, if only for a short trip. We had done 23 straight years but the last two years he has been out of commission. Hoping to rectify that.

I am going to try to get to Shoshone Lake in Yellowstone (one of the most beautiful places on the face of this planet the other one is the uintahs if you guys ever come to utah try the granddady basin trail its utahs secret 2 day trail) and do many backyard hangs during spring and summer. I hope to be on my mission on the summer so I will be gone for two years It makes me sad to leave you all. I will make a post on the welcome section when I know more.
