    Switchback Deconstruction?

Anybody ever deconstruct a switchback for DIY mods and / or "tributing"?

I'm contemplating attempting a DIY version...

It's pretty much a rectangular piece of fabric with the same size rectangular piece of netting. The netting along the sides is sewn to full length zippers which are sewn to the hammock fabric. The netting at the head & foot ends is simply seen into the folded hems of the channels.

Thanks so much! I would've bet it was a whizbang angled cut or something, so I take it you've taken yours apart?

Yes I have. It's the symmetrical nature of it that makes it so versatile. You can lay left to right or right to left or head to foot or foot to head. You can "switchback" and forth between all these positions during the night without having to get out of the hammock or make any adjustments.
