    Newbie here ..just need my first hammock!

    Will be touring on a motorbike I just got...I am the worst for getting cold when I sleep .... If you all could steer mein the right direction I would be thankful Kimmer
    as well I live in Outlook sask so if you have any neat destinations or events I should see please send me all your ideas thank you

    Haha - loaded question! There are lots of options for hammocks and the insulation. It might help if you told us what weather/temps you expect to use your hammock in, what budget you want to spend on the setup, etc.

    Suitable camping hammocks can range from ~$50-$200. You might want a bigger tarp for another $30-$200. And your insulation can range from Walmart camping pads at $10 to $300 underquilts...or any combination in between.

    Lighter is more expensive. Less bulky is more expensive. Warmer is more expensive. But comfort is subjective...some folks find the $10 perfectly comfortable, and for them it's the best solution.

    YIKES this is a science!

    ok the weather should be very nice (motorbiking weather) so just the most economical setup will do as I will probably only use it here and there
    And wow some great ideas all ovet those sites!

    Welcome kimmer123! You should check out some of the posts by RAW. He does a lot of motorcycle/ hammock camping. Most of his gear is suited and sized for motorbikes.
