How well does that work for moisture barrier? Also what's the science behind how it works as a moisture barrier, I feel like it would just become a wick instead of preventing the moisture.

I bought 2 of the same thing from Kmart because they were on sale for about $10-12 each. I've been using one of them for exactly this purpose (I made a semi fitted reflectix pad for my WBRR and wrapped it in the fleece bag) and the other one I took the zipper out of and use it in my hammock (I'm a full timer).

The pad is the moisture barrier. Pads do not breathe and your body vapor condenses on the pad. Most pads are plastic.
The fleece is just giving you a wicking layer between your body and the pad.
The fleece (or any other layer you add) will help, but wont be a cure all.

It really isn't a vapor barrier as you aren't enclosing yourself in it, it is just u.der my legs only topquilt... the fleece makes it warmer against my skin.

If you're still looking to purchase some fleece I recommend signing up for JoAnn's newsletter so that you'll get emails for when they have special sales and also have access to their coupons. I just recently bought 3 yards of black fleece for only $9.60 shipped.

    Ryan,

Thanks for posting that link. I hadn't found that site in all my searching.
