I was watching SGT Rock's video on how he replaced his UQs' suspension lines with Dutch's quilt hooks. His setup really allows his UQs to lay on a diagonal. I don't know if I'm ready or have the skill to sew loops into my hammock yet so I thought I may be able to replicate it using two prusik knots at each end of my hammock instead of just one prusik that allows the UQ to be pulled up, but doesn't shift the quilt to the diagonal.

I undertook the a quick test on my patio with my Jacks 'R" Better Mount Washington 4 and the standard JRB Under Quilt suspension system.

Here are the results:

As you can see the JRB UQ suspension system is too long, which is why I used a cord lock in the middle. I was thinking of modifying it through a combination of Knotty's Adjustable Under Quilt Suspension and/or replacing part of the shock cord with some non-stretchable cord like Zing-It or some draw cord.

I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on how to improve the design or if you see any weaknesses that I hadn't thought of.
