    Hanging in Cookeville

Although I don't hang in Cookeville much.

I recently rediscovered hammock camping (It's how I camped as a kid). I now have the bug.

In the last 6 months I have modded my GT ultralight, made 3 different tarps, made gathered ends for both my sons.. I think it's safe to call it an addiction now.

Recent hangs were in Big South Fork, where we found a great spot off the John Muir, with a grotto and waterfall that looked completely untouched.

I've been out of the backpacking game for a while and am trying to get back in. And am coming to the sad realization that years of desk work are not good training for long hikes.

I've intermittently checked out HF and seen a lot of great, innovative ideas, along with a lot of great, innovative people. Can't resist the chance to bounce ideas back and forth with other tinkerers, so here I am!

Thank you all already for the amazingly ideas I have found on here, as well as the great advice I've found. I look forward to being a member of such a friendly forum!
