Do you guys have issues with tarp taking off like a sail during windy days at high elevation? By high elevation I mean 5,000-6,000 feet which is the highest I'll ever be around here. I theorized that if I have a wider tarp and get it closer to the ground it will be same as rain fly on a tent. Like, you know there is very small gap between the ground and rain fly? I figured a huge gap between ground and a tarp will cause strong wind to rip the stakes out! If this make sense? Or am I just paranoid? I thought about adding another tarp to my "wish list" that is use for higher elevation and one with doors.
