Hey Hangers! I have been lurking and LEARNING for about a year now and I thought I would finally take the plunge, say hello and say THANK YOU for all the great information! Between this forum and the posts on Youtube from HF members I have been able to enjoy a new form of camping. Having been a car camper and canoe camper my whole life, hammocks and all the ultralight gear that is available now, has enabled me to get out a lot more and do some solo hikes, as well as dabble in winter camping. I recently upgraded from pads and DIY setups to a Greylock 4 under quilt and man does that rock! I have only just been doing overnights in my yard, testing etc, so far down to 6 degrees last weekend. Very happy with the results! Reading this forum had not only inspired me to explore the hanging world, but also have me the knowledge to do it right. So much great info and so many cool people that share there experiences and knowledge. Thanks guys!
