Since my original response got lost, here's another.

    1. Silnylon tarp. That Winter Dream plan on Scott's site looks really nice.
    2. Gathered end fleece lined hammock for my 3 year old. Gotta make it long enough for use when he gets older too.
    3. Modifying my Yukon Outfitters hammock.
    4. Some sort of bugnet project. Not sure what I'm doing yet, but I need a bugnet for this year as I'll be hanging during skeeter season.
    5. A 1.1 double layer Blackbird Tribute has got my attention. This is a long shot hough.

Well I've finished a single 1.1 hammock in the last week as well as two IX UQ's. Still have. A tarp, tq, 20 Pheonix clone, 40 degree UQ, G4 backpack, two more 1.1 singles (gathered ends), JRB down sleeves clone, and a down vest to name a few. We'll see how this pans considering my time constraints!

    DIY Resolutions

I need to put the finishing touches on my DIY Grizz Bridge(s).

    Also lined up:

A versatile bugnet to be used in the hammock or on the ground.
    A new, redesigned lightweight pillow.
    A new tarp.
A Poncho Liner Underquilt modified a la a JRB quilt
    A new backpack

    Gosh, I'm gonna be busy.

I made an under quilt from a poncho liner, very simple process, I folded it to 3.5 x 5 and sewed a pocket on each of the 5 foot sides and added shock cord. Also made a top quilt from a poncho liner by folding 1.25 over and 1.25 over the center 3' and seaming the end and up the meeting edges about 2 feet to make a foot pocket. Also bought a piece of heavy fleece 60" x 7' (2 1/3 yards) sewed it the same way to use as a liner inside the poncho liner top quilt. It works well and down here in the sunny south is is all I need with the WB 1.7. I can add a pad in the double layer and a wool blanket if it gets really cold. Thanks for looking.

    DIY Resolutions

Mentor the first round of hammock camping merit badges in our troop. As part of the requirements, each scout will:

    1) Make from scratch (or modify their exisiting) suspension system. Stitching their own set of tree straps and making their own set of whoopie slings including toggles.

    2) Make their own underquilt.

    3) Options to make a new hammock and/or tarp

Materials were ordered in November and early December and all materials in house prior to initiating the project. So far, tree straps and whoopie slings are finished with underquilts being made tomorrow. We got a great deal on the materials (even got some of it donated) so cost to the scouts will be at about $25. I can't wait to see the look on their faces when we crack open the Climashield Apex 4.0 and see it swell up. I'll post some pics when the project winds down. We'll be sending some to the folks who donated materials for sure.

    4) Continue my tinkering ways and hopefully in a manner that is agreeable to others.
Happy Trails to one and all.
Enjoy the outdoors wisely and elevate your perspective.

    1) Finish my 2-man tent (been stalling for the past 2 weeks or so...should've been done a while ago)
    2) 0-10F do-it-all quilt (bag, couple's quilt, hammock sock/quilt)
    3) Cuben stuff sacks for the above
    4) Learn how to make backpacks until I have 2-3 good ones (likely make 6-7 total, donating/tossing out all the ones I screw up)
    5) 2 sets of bike paniers (one set heavy duty for MTB, and another set UL for road)
    6) whatever my friends want made after that
