Just got my Jan/Feb copy of The Backwoodsman Magazine at the local post orifice. There is a nice article about, shall we say, "field expedient" hammocks. the author professes a remarkable familiarity of underquilts. Then on page 32 is a very familiar face in a familiar pose. I'd swear that face has been on HF! (Change your avatar, did you?) Anyhow, a big "Good job" getting folks interested in the hammock lifestyle goes out to the author. There is also an article on construction of a unique alcohol stove from an Altoids can, and one on ultralite bicycle packing. This from a magazine more tuned in to canvas and black powder.
