My new bit of kit...it's a horrible video!

No, the video's not a bit of kit...it's my new DIY hammock. A concentrated group effort between JunebugDawn and her elite Thread Injector skills and Aahgladius and his contributions, I now present to you: The Swamp Sling.

This is my new go-to hammock.

I used to be a somebody, now I just camp.

I heard some tales about the manufacture of this hammock. It might be cursed. Sure you wanna chance it? Will take it and perform various ceremonies in the light of the moon to cleanse of the evil. Take.....6-7 months. Very reasonable rates.

Evil spirits notwithstanding, looks good Gresh.

Tell you what. You let me hold that Dangerbird...you know, so I don't get hammock-lonely while you're exorcising whatever hanging demon is all up in Swamp Sling and we may can work something out.

How about a nice DIY 11' SL instead? My Dangerbird would be lonely if it was that far away from my ruck and all it's friends.

Weight is relative... I will take a little less comfort on the trail for a better nights sleep any day...

I have said more than once, you can be real comfortable on the trail and uncomfortable in camp, or real comfortable in camp and uncomfortable on the trail... My 2.5 lb hatchet and folding saw was a bit to carry, but when everyone was standing around the campfire and we burned a whole tree in 3 hours, suddenly the weight didn't matter much any more...
