    Snake skins for siltarp2?

I'm still new here, so pardon if this question has been asked before. Will the Hennessey snake skins work with an Integral Designs Siltarp2?

Yeah we in the fourms sometimes makes their own. But yeah as long as it has a ridgeline you can pack it in snake skins.

They are simple to make and should work fine as long as it has a ridgeline.

I'm not a do-it-myself yet. The tarp does not have a ridgeline until I hang one; would merely draping the tarp over the line, then wrapping in snake skins work?

I would suggest securing it to the ridgeline or it will be more hassle than it’s worth. It will not deploy the way it is supposed to if not secured.

I see your point. I think I could probably attached some velcro tabs to secure it to the ridgeline.

    Thanks!

I've got a couple pairs of Mountaingoat Gear mesh tarp storage sleeves and they work just fine without a ridgeline. I just attach the two ends of the tarp to the trees and slide the sleeves back and forth without any fuss at all.

Take a real small rope and tie a prusik knot on the ridge line attached to the tarp worked great for me and it allows me to move the tarp along the ridge line as needed.
