    Red River Gorge backpacking

My new WBRR keeps nagging me about getting out of the house so I'm planning on doing a little backpacking in the Red River Gorge (RRG).

I'm going to try to go either on the weekend of the 11-13th or the 18-20th depending on the weather. If it's going to rain all day or have lows under about 15 I don't want to go. I might go one night or two depending on the weather.

I've led backpacking trips throughout the RRG with three meetup.com groups and have been on almost every mile of trail.

I have an idea of where I want to go but I'm flexible on that.

Let me know if you want to go!
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday...there is no someday.

My winter schedule is full but will likely be heading there in March and would love to pick your brain.

That's awesome, we did Grays and double arch last March and have been itchin to see cloud splitter. Do you have any maps with the side trails?
Sorry if I'm hijacking your thread.

OutrageGIS has the best map of the RRG. It includes official and unofficial trails, campsites, and vistas. It can get you close to Cloudsplitter but the trail to it is somewhat hard to find.

    I'll PM you.

I'm thinking of doing that second weekend - 18th-20th. I'd be happy to meet up with you if you choose that week. I've seen much of the area and would flexible about the where.
