    Perting Waterfalls, Malaysia

Slept in a hammock for the first time last night. Went for an overnight trip with 8 friends at a waterfall called Perting Falls (also called Lata Hammer). All 8 of us used hammocks. 6 were Hennessy (one of our friends is a reseller of Hennessy in Malaysia, so we all bought our hammocks from him!), and 2 others were brandless hammocks. We had lots of fun. Here are some random pics.

The group before the hike in.

We had to walk in for about 10 minutes on this road.

    Then the first river crossing.

    Nice river.

Then we hiked for about 1 hours on this trail.

Some of the knives we had in our pockets.

    Lata Hammer!

Our campsite, above and to the right of the waterfall.

My 12' x 10' tarp. Used my own DIY whoopie slings.

My Hennessy Explorer Deluxe hammock. I had a good night sleep indeed!

    Meal time.

There was a hippo in the pool.

Crystal clear, cool water. We saw small fishes swimming around as well.

    My parang.

We had a good overnight camp. Good weather, and good friends!

It looks like a fantastic place to camp. The sound of the falls would put me to sleep in a minute! I had to laugh at the knife picture: I must remember to do this on my my trip

Very cool. Looks like an awesome time was had by all.
