You opened up a can of worms with this, right?
I miss my 4.8Lb base weight as a ground dweller...But I sure DON'T MISS the ground.

Actually I have a revolving mix of DIY and cottage gear hammocks.
How much does that pack/hammock weigh? How much volume does the pack have? I'm so impressed with this!

Hah, I have been laughing since yesterday over your simple hammock and insulation.

I stopped at the hardware store and Home Depot where I asked for Dutch Glue. They just stared; so I told them I had cracked my wooden shoe, needed Dutch glue, and left. I am trying Grainger tomorrow. From the video it looked like h2o based adhesive, I may be able to DIY it. I have an estees kit.

You need to do another how to video on the asymmetrical lay though. I keep falling off when I try it.
If it moves, you can eat it. No promises you will think it tastes good.

The pack was based on a gear skin. It is totally expandable because the side strap open up. I made 3 versions, this was the 3rd and it was the heaviest somewhere between 2 and 3 pounds with the spreader bars.

2-3 lbs is a decent weight for the pack alone. This is a dual use item.

Seriously, this is quite incredible. If one was on the market I would be apt to save some cash *cough cough*

I'm at work, so I watched with the sound off. Too funny, need to listen as well later. That is the best way to really lower your base weight. My favorite is the down. Dutch, I didn't know you had a bird fetish. Kind of scary, actually.

    Good stuff.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Great system, my only concern would be the time spent packing up that insulation in the morning. When do they go on sale?
