Yes, that's why I was thinking of getting one...because I have a lot of down left.

How did you go about finishing the last seam after stuffing? I understand how to make the 3 sides, but how do you finish off the last seam after stuffing without having it different from the other 3?

And btw, I ordered a torso length uq shell from lost biker. But I still have about 10 oz of down left. I need to make a pillow once I understand the process.

    John, how is the pillow.

Does the down compressed a lot since you only have two ounces in them. What is the starting dimension.

    Thanks.

The starting dimensions are basically 8x11. I start with a rectangle 16x11 ish, with the outside in, and sew
around three sides. The fourth side I sew down from each corner about 1.5 inches.
In one corner, I put a tie out... before I sew the seam. -- don't forget this is inside out... the loop should be hiding when you sew it.

flip it right side out, and add the down. The fabric will want to tuck under on the seam since you started the seam in the corners... just pull tight and sew the edge. I will post pics tonight.

The down is really dense in the pillow. It wants to expand beyond 1000cu in, but it takes that much to provide some support.

    Thanks.

The way I make a pillow... Is I se three sides with it inside out out... I sew down 3/4 of the way on the last side with it still inside out... I then turn it right side out, I stuff and sew the last little bit up and making sure to overlap about an inch with the inside out seam and the outside out seam...

Should I get a shell and make a summer underquilt or would that be a waste? I just got the incubator so I don't know how it will vent in the warmer months. Btw, here's a pic of the top quilt.

Maybe there is a special someone that you'd like to gift with a top quilt or under quilt... a family member, scout or scoutmaster, teacher etc.

I bought a torso length uq shell from lost biker. The plan is to have my wife start hanging with me once our youngest son gets a little older. I'll use the torso length and she can use the incubator.
