    Clark In A Hammock Stand

I have a "new to me" NX-200 and I was wondering if there was a way to set this up on a regular hammock stand.
I am itching to try this out, but I can't get away until early September (not even to a park), and my back yard is lacking trees.
I do have a standard (15') hammock stand, but I can seem to set this up witout touching the ground.

Can anybody give me some advice?

    Thanks

Sure do it all the time

What I did was to get two pieces of pipe and simply drill a few holes. One hole drilled an inch from the top of my 36" pipe and one hole drilled at 6" from the bottom. The pipe slides into the stand and is prevented from going down all the way by aligning the holes and inserting a bolt so there is no spin or sliding in or out. Put the S hook in the upper hole and BINGO your but in the air.

I used schedule 40, 1 5/8" ID pipe sometimes called handrail pipe by welders. Ask a welder and see if he has a few feet of scrap you can get cheeply instead of it going to the scrap yard.
Whether trail or paddle don't you know
My hammock is the way to go
There peace and solitude I find
To ease all troubles from my mind
Both body and soul revel in delight
As day surrenders to inky night

Yes, the suspension points will need to be higher off the floor, so whatever it takes. A turtledog stand will work wonderfully, I hang my nx 250 from mine.

+1 on the Turtledog Stand. Build your own, cut it to the height that works for you and you're all set.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll try the pipe first (as I have some scrap at work) and then go the Turtledog route for a more long term solution. (That way I'll have two stands in the end)
    Thanks again!
