    Opinions on Ebay vendor

Was searching Ebay and came across Bucklegear, selling tree straps.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tchlink:top:en

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with these strapsnand what their thoughts were.

I would stay away... They are made of nylon and nylon is usually to stretchy for most people's tastes... Plus all that extra hardware is just a waste of weight...

Go to wal mart and buy a set off ratchet straps, throw the ratchets away and cut the hooks off the long side... And your good to go...

This vendor has both polyester and nylon, I just happened to post the nylon straps.

Ok...I just looked at the link provided... Any reason you don't want to use strapworks com which is a trusted name around here to get what you want... Or even one of the cottage vendors...

Just asking, if you have to ask why take the gamble when there is perfectly safe and legitimate places close at hand..

The listing says polyester in one place and nylon in another. I sent a question to the seller to see what the response is. Agree on the excess weight, some don't worry about that.

For $20 you can get nicer straps from one of the cottage vendors here...

or even cheaper, Harbor Freight Poly straps are really cheap and were my first straps... worked great.

Got a response from the vendor, He says they are Mil spec Nylon but he also said he had Poly webbing as well. Seems somewhat pricey, +1 on suggestions to go with local vendors or Harbor Freight ratchet straps.
