Hey guys I'm new here, when and where are y'all planning the next hang?
Hey guys I'm new here, when and where are y'all planning the next hang?
March 8-10 Much anticipated Arkansas hang Kyle's landing Jasper. Several from fall Louisiana hang will be there.
The guys and I have already started talking about a spring hang. We where leaning toward not having on and heading up to the Arkansas hang. We talked about only doing one big hang a year freeing up availability to make more out of state hangs. I can not speak for Granger, SwampSloth, OldRiver Rat or Millerville but with work I am only able to schedule something like this once or twice a year and I would want to attend other hangs to meet out of state hangers and lure them to our hangs with funny stories and good food.
All that being said just because the guys and I hadn't planned a spring hang doesn't mean one shouldn't go down. As Nsdemon started this thread for the second year in a row I will let him handle the details for this hang.
Yosemite Sam: Are you trying to make me look a fool?
Bugs: You don't need me to make you look like a fool.
Yosemite Sam: Yer deerrrnnn right I don't!
Hey y'all keep me posted on the location, I'm in Mansfield and we would love to come!!!
I will not be in attendance at this hang. I also agree with every word jazilla posted. Jazilla, myself and the other guys (swamp sloth and old river rat) that have put on the previous official Louisiana annual hang have decided that we will host a hang annually during winter time. This will be the hang with food, entertainment and door prizes as provided during our previous hangs.
It's never a trip, It's always an adventure!
Let me know when and where and I will try to attend if my schedule permits.
I don't have a problem with mid-march nsdemon. Keep me posted.
ill go i went to the one in the fall
March is supposed to be our last 'cool' month... average high is supposed to be 70, but as warm as this winter's been, i'm not banking on it.
That said, i may attend, depending on work schedule and location.
Kisatchie Bayou is in the middle of the Kisatchie Unit of the Kisatchie National Forest, roughly 15 miles NE of the middle of the Peason Ridge training area, and about 5 miles off hwy 117 between Leesville and Natchitoches. There is a web site for the national forest (but frankly, it sucks. Very user unfriendly. The kisatchie is huge, and consists of 4 or 5 different units across the state, but you have to dig down to find a map you don't know the name of to get a map of the area you're trying to look at... kind of like looking up a word in a dictionary that's not in alphabetical order.) that said, here's a link to the map and brochure for the kisatchie bayou area. It's area 14. there is a $2 per day usage fee, fire rings, vault toilet, and trash/dumpster, but no potable water. there is a natural spring, piped, that many locals use to get their home drinking water from, roughly where the 11 is on the map, which is NOT within walking distance.
