Granger I sent a friend request. I'm always up for any group hang if it is close by (meaning the states surrounding.) Just shoot me a PM if anyone wants to do something or post it on here.

Hello again Granger, if ya’ll are talking about Fausse state park that’s just south of Lafayette I’m way up for that. That’s a many mile closer for me this time. Although as great a hang as you guys put on I would still make that drive to Alexandria again.

Just a suggestion... the Sherburne WMA. It has a southern and northern campground with many activities The southern campground is on top of a levee and is a huge wide open area lined with forest on the backside, there is no water or electricity. The Northern campground has RV sites however i'm not sure about utilities I usually stay at the southern campsite. There are 2 boat launches near the northern site and hiking and ATV trails run through the area.
Where is that exactly Less?
I think the group is trying to make the hang a little more family friendly. Some of the spouses are reluctant about attending without showers and ready available water, electricity ect. So the overall talk has been looking for a place with more of those amenities. The food is out of this world (worth attending just for eating alone) & electricity and such would really help the chef's out. Yes, they are that good! I'll testify!
The Sherburn WMA is on the Red River between hwy 190 & I 10. South of Krotz Springs. If I remember right?

There really are some nice areas up here as well, everybody seems to be forgetting there's a North Louisiana as well... Lol
Check Sherburne out. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sherb...rea_(Louisiana)
