continuous loop with whoopie hooks

If you put the Whoopie Hook on the whoopie sling, you can use the whoopie for multiple hammocks. Putting the whoopie hook on the continuous loop makes it kind of permanent; i.e., non-transferable. I'm sure Dutch won't object if you buy a set of Whoopie hooks for each hammock!

This is the primary reason I leave them on my few sets of whoopies. Otherwise, I don't see a major with it, either.

I have one set Whoopie's and just received a set of Dutch Whoopie Hooks. I would like to not have to make a new pair of whoopies. Anyone know of a splice I could do and thread the hook onto the whoopie?

This, in reference to the adjustable loop...

...However it is real easy to snip off the finished end, Pull out the bury, add that hook, and redo it.

I'm in the same boat John. Threaded some whoopies thru the triangles this weekend, looked pretty spiffy! I really like the straps and buckles, however, my trees have way too much sap on them and I have to store my tree straps separate. Was going to try dynaglide as I just picked some up from Dutch, but am not sure with the flatter hang angle if it may be too much....

Would the biner attach to the RR suspension triangle and the other end of the whoopie sling would get larksheaded to the tree strap as an all in one?

I have a sewn in channel hammock so what I do is I thread a continuous loop in the sewn in channel. Then I thread one end in the other loop and I put my adjustable structural ridgeline on with a larks head and and whoopie hook it and I am good to go. I have the whoopie hook on the the whoopie sling. not the continuous loop.

John I don't know what I would pick dutch biener or whoopie hook.

I replaced the aluminum triangle connector piece with Dutch Biners so that it would be easier to disconnect the suspension triangle for Spindrift installation/removal.

I still use the stock webbing suspension but with a Dutch cinch buckle (I'm not a fan of the WB style buckles).

I have made Dynaglide dog bones to replace the suspension triangles but haven't installed them yet. My brain (or lack thereof) keeps telling me with something that thin "I'm gonna die".

Ahh! Gotcha...

The Biner idea kind of went over my head this morning.... was trying to figure it out, but your post reminded me that the Biner is a way better way to get the SD on and off. Thanks GMCTTR!

Yeah, I'm about 170lbs, and use the dynaglide whoopies on my other hammocks, but for some reason, on this one, I haven't gone there yet.

I was expermenting with some descender rings and whoopie slings.and I had Dutch's elf make some continuos loops with whoopie hooks on them.it has worked out rather well for my daughter's hammock
