If you'd like some large amounts...
    Amsteel/Zing-it/Lash-it
    Dynaglide

With the smaller cords I find a guitar string (g-string) works well for splicing .

Thanks everyone. Looks like the lash it and zing it are the preferred choice.

    I am still a Spectra No-Tangle user.....http://stores.tttrailgear.com/-strse...ine/Detail.bok
1/16" spectra core with nylon sheath, 275 lb breaking strength, highly visible bright orange, no tangles! Extremely strong lightweight cord for many outdoor uses

Tangle it will a bit. Stiffish....I like the orange color.

I actually use Z-Line Spectra cord for my tarp. Can't splice it, but it's tiny, tough, and doesn't tangle. The 1.25mm is great for the tieouts, and the 1.5mm works with Dutch's Tarp Flyz nicely.

I will have to check this stuff out too, sounds like another solid choice. I really like the no tangle aspect.

    Thank you both.

FWIW...there isn't much of a problem with zing it tangling either.
