I got a set of the poles in but I can not get the anti shock to lock...
They work great with the RR but I do wish I could figure out how to lock the antishock.
My son recorded my leki pole mod.its on you tube, search hairbears ridge runner hiking pole mod.ignore the first one the second way is better.
thanks Paul for the video,,as I never could figure out so was just hanging with them unlocked and they worked just fine unlocked. But!!! I would rather have them locked and its slick as all get out to lock them now. Thanks again!
Happy it helped Acer. The video from MS really screwed everyone by showing it incorrectly. Not sure why they put it out there like that. I called them to ask about it and the gal could not sort out what I was explaining, took my number to have someone call back to help me.....that was more than a week ago.
Hope my video can help some folks sort out how to do it correctly.
I have used those MoutainSmith hiking poles every nite since I got them. At diff. widths even. I have a set of Brandon's hiking pole tips, and for now, just screwed the one on the handle screw, and leave the tip ends of Brandon's for now in a baggie stuck in a pack pocket so I don't loose them. I see nothing wrong with the poles what so ever and they work at any width just fine. Been using them all this time unlocked too until Paul found that video, so now they are locked. and working just as good as unlocked. Can't wait to get out and do a hiking trip when I get thru my bad work schedule right now. Pretty much tied down with work for now.
