Yeah they book up so far in advance. We couldn't get a single night in the same tent Site since every morning we had to pack up everything, leave the park for the day, then come back at night unpack everything and make dinner.

Next time we are just going to bring the motorcycle, and tenting gear. Unless I can book multiple state parks that will allow hammocks and have spaces available that are hammockable.

hey im in florida at the moment, first stop on my roadtrip across the states. ive got my hammock, wondering what you mean about allowing hammocks. can i take it to the glades national park, say flamingo campground? seems to be plenty of tent stops around, hopefully there will be some trees too? Or they have backcountry camping down a trail, sure i could find a hang around there...

or is it more the rangers not liking the hammocks, even with straps? what do they say?

What a wonderful trip. Thanks for sharing. I used to live on Big Pine Key years back, the keys are a wonderful place to visit. Makes me want to go back.

    Looks like a fun trip

I have been to the Keys twice and loved it both times (well, what isn’t to love there). Nice scenery and super food. One of my all time favorite restaurants was just north of you, the Keys Fisheries on Marathon.

Thanks for sharing the trip. I want to go back ASAP.

Thanks for sharing. Great pics! I have only seen a key deer once as it was running away from us. That was a great shot. And the croc too! How close were you to the cottonmouth when you took that pic? you musta had a nice trip!

Looks like you had a blast! I am jealous. Look at all of that sun! I could use some of that right now! It is cold with freezing rain here in northern Virginia. Think I might have to start trip planning
