Ordered underquilt Jan 1, shipping time?

I read through one of the threads here about shipping times and those order numbers I saw were in the 300's range. Mine is in the 500's range. Maybe I am screwed, but I have trips planned the weekends of the 19th and 26th of this month.

Does anyone know how best to notify them to see if I can get some help on the delivery time?

I guess I didn't expect it to take so long.

Email or PM them here on the forum (stormcrow or thorwren). Adam and Jenny are often very busy, but when they get to you they will do their utmost to provide good service. Just be patient and persistent and they will come through.

At one time there was a prominent wait disclaimer on the HG site, but now you would have to look for ship times to find it. I understand it can be frustrating for a new hanger not aware they have very little "ready" stock, especially after the black Friday sale, but rest assured your new gear will be worth the wait.

Yeah, I didn't know anything about the sale until I read the threads here about an hour ago. I just figured I would dig in to timing a bit with my trips approaching trying to be "ahead of the game" so I got back on the forums to see and am a bit surprised.

That seems to be the trend. I ordered something else that was custom made back in December and I don't have it yet either. There was a disclaimer of 4-6 week delivery time on the site though, so I had a heads up about it.

Definitely send them an email. Or even call the number on their site. While the wait time is currently a bit longer than one might like, I'll vouch for the fact that they'll bend over backwards to help as much as they can. I've asked for rush orders in the past and they were able to accommodate.

I'd say relax knowing when you do get it you'll be receiving a primo piece of kit.

Waiting is part of the game when it comes to custom, hand-made gear. Well worth it though!

I noticed on Turley's knife webpage that he quit taking new orders because he is FOUR YEARS behind in current orders. Yet, customers keep signing up, knowing this!

I would send a PM or give them a call.

I've had them rush me gear on several occasions and they have always come through for me.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Luckily I got one "used" but never used. When I started looking at Iz's knives, it was only a 9 month wait. Then, BOOM, he blew up even more. Awesome knives though.

    Just got my ship notice!

I am order number 525 and I just got my shipped notification. I ordered the day before you did (12/31). With that said, when I ordered, I put in a comment that I had a trip later this month and would appreciate an indication as to whether I would be bringing this UQ or needed to make other accommodations, so it's possible they regarded mine as a rush order. If so -- or if not -- I have nothing but great things to say regarding the quality of customer service they provide. I now have a TQ and UQ from them and will be ordering a cuben tarp next.

I am in the same boat ordered 12/28, I let them know that I needed it for the 2nd annual Oregon Winter Hang and they just shipped it today. Should be here in plenty of time before next friday if the Postal Service doesn't loose it.

I have to say pleasure working with them and every thing I have seen of their handy work is top notch. Looking forward to getting it in the mail.
