I'm 6'3" and have a 10.5ft diy hammock that is just over 5ft wide and found it to be more than big enough, anything 10ft or over and 60" wide should be fine for you. Good luck on your search and welcome to the forum.

I'm 6 1 and 265 pounds and I have several hammocks. I have an ENO DN inside the house, but for summer camping the HH Safari has a ton of room, and you can sleep on your side. The big hex tarp is great too. Here it is on the Jacks River Trail last summer. The tarp is so big, my dog's tent sat under it as well.

    My 2c

    I'm (just shy of) 6-2. ~170#
Gathered end hammocks just don't seem to work for me. I don't get as level as I like and hyperextended knees hurt after a while. Add to that I have a herniated disk in my lower back. Probably I'm just not smart enough to figure out how to use them properly. When I do get a good diagonal, I sleep fine for a while but I need to roll over and can't seem to swing it.
Then I discovered the Chrysalis and my life has had meaning and purpose ever since. The support is perfect on my back. I can easily roll over to either side, even in a heavy winter mummy bag. I'm told you can even sleep on your stomach, but I've never tried it. There are head and foot boxes for "storing gear." I keep a few bits of gear in the head box and I keep my feet in the foot box. It's a perfect fit for me and I highly recommend the Chrysalis.
    Good luck.

Hey, we use a tent for our dogs too. It's kind of fun when people are checking out our hamock set up and they ask, "What's the tent for?" We tell them sort of off-handedly, "Oh that's for the dogs."
I don't tell them that we keep gear in it too. Why go there?

I'm 6'1" 180 lbs. I am comfortable in a home made 11 footer or in a GT Nano that is well under 10'. I'mn testing to see which I actually like the best.

I have the Hennessy Explorer Deluxe. I'm 6'1". Fits me very well. The key I've found for a nice flat lay is to string the hammock tight. If there is too much slack you can't flatten out and get the overextended knees and sore neck (IME).
