Day trip on the Snowmobile trails

Bear with me, this is my first trip report!

I went with my mom and her friend out on some of the snowmobile trails in the area. The plan was to walk from her house to mine via the trail. We bit off a bit more than we could chew and instead of 14 miles, we made it 4!

The paths were solid enough to walk on without snow shoes but certainly slowed us down. We did get a little lost but crossed through a field and found the trails again.

We stopped along the way and set up two hammocks to cook our lunch and hot chocolate. I had a Black cat that worked wonderfully, my mom had an interesting combination of a fancy feast stove with another alcohol stove as an insulator and Josh had a Trangia, but he forgot a pot stand...and used to sticks instead...which caught fire so he had to use mine

My mom was using my Hennessy Expedition with Whoopies and I was using Nighthauk's DIY camo.

It was a great hike with lots of tracks to see, a moose crossed the path 3 times, lots of deer and an abundance of Coyote.

I even got my first blister! Thought I'll spare you the picture of that!

Thanks. It was a misty upper 40s today. No sun but no rain either. Winter is melting...

It looked like the 4 of you had a great time.
