    problem at HF or problem with my computer?

    Have I got a virus or is something going on at HF? In the last hour or so, I have clicked on an HF link to view a thread ( last one was about "HH Safari" only to be taken to this web site:

    <Link Removed>

    It has happened a couple of times now. The legit thread opens, but first it takes me to the girly pic thread.

    The girls are very nice looking, but something is messed up and this should not be happening. What do Y'all think: problem on my end or problem at HF?

    Your end. Though the specific reason is difficult to detect without being able to physically examine your pc.

    Hasn't happened again so far. Sorry bout the link, guess I should not have copied it. Now mind you, I never clicked on that link either, didn't have too. I just clicked on a HF thread, and that page opened, two different times. Wonder how they snuck that in? I keep my Norton Firewall/AV updated. Also, yesterday I disabled Java according to a government warning and recommendation that I saw, waiting to see what kind of problems that will cause me.

    I'm curious about that too... A US government warning to disable JAVA? Sounds like the supposed warnings that go from person to person via email or Facebook. I would recommend downloading a good malware/spyware program like Spybot Search & Destroy and running that to clear out anything that you may have picked up. Norton is fine for viruses, but doesn't catch alot of the malware out there.

    I saw it on the news last night that there was a glitch in Java (not to be confused with Java Script) that can do harm to your computer and the issue is being worked on. The way I understood it was that even the Government was disabling Java on their systems until the problem is fixed.

    Here's a little more info about the Java warning - Link Please note that it doesn't have anything at all to do with this thread though.

    Bill - whatever is causing you to have a popup is definitely on your computer, rather than the site.
