Also, it came from an estate sale of a woman who died. She had 3 different models and the drawers of the cabinet are filled with all kinds of sewing goodies!

The needle going up and down is a good thing.
The one I looked at today looks to be in good condition. The cabinet is pretty good too. Only drawback is that it hasn't been used in a very long time. Also, there was a bottle of 3 in 1 oil in the drawer! I've heard that's not good.

Yes. Appears to work great but I'm missing the bobbin! Also, I'm cleaning out the drawers now and finding some very interesting things. Might have found the original receipt! Found a bulb and the light works!

Are you just missing the bobbin, or the bobbin case? I think the bobbins are pretty easy to come by.
Careful with the light. They get hot! My moms did anyway. I'm not positive if that is normal?

Here is about half of the loot I've found so far. Of note is: lots of needles, several bobbins, the bobbin case, the original manual, a box of singer attachments, alligator skin, some large items towards the middle that I'm not sure what they are, and my Siamese who thinks she's in heaven with all the thread!

Lots of goodies. Now you have to figure out what they all are.

So I picked up a thread injector today!
15-90, made in 1940 and in Canada to boot!
Old Boot, you were right on the jury rigged part. It`s a portable case set into a small table. The top was cut out to fit the machine base. They did a pretty decent job though. The machine seems to be in good working order. I did a quick clean and ran a few stitches through. They seem like they are straight. I`m going to do a better job cleaning tomorrow and get it oiled. Then I`ll post some pictures.
