    No reason you can't do that method with a MSH instead of lark's heading onto the tree strap, provided the fixed eye is big enough.

    Dutch's whoopie is one of the most versitile suspension methods. It uses both for hanging. So you can use a whoopie when trees are far apart and a continuous loop when they are close. It is also super light I dont know of the weight though. All I know is that I reduced my weight and bulk of hammock and suspension by half.
