    Talking Noob from SC

Hello everyone! I am pretty new to the hammock lifestyle. I purchased an Eno Single Nest from REI about a year ago and am really starting to throw it up and hang around here recently. I must say it is nice to hang around in the summer but this winter stuff is about to freeze me to death. I have yet to camp in the hammock, always been afraid of critters and wildlife screwing with me or trying to find warmth in my blanket! I love camping and hiking and am hoping to conquer my fears of the insects wanting to sleep with me this year.

Welcome from Irmo, SC! Great to see another South Carolinian joining here.

You should try to join us for a hang, get to know some people and see some other gear and set ups! We're meeting at Sesqui State Park in Columbia next weekend!
I used to be a somebody, now I just camp.

If you come for the weekend, we can set you right up with a tarp...there might even be an underquilt somewhere you can use.

I can guarantee the use of a tarp, though.
