    M50 Summer Top Quilt

I have spent the last day and a half making my new summer quilt. Thru Hiker M50 (Evergreen for the shell and Steel Gray for the liner) and 6.5oz of a stash of Wilderness Logics 850 down.

67" long, 12" diameter sewn foot box, and 48" wide at the top. Top has a cinching draw cord. Total weight: 289g/ 10.2oz. It should get me down to ~40F.

The quilt turned out GREAT Jeremy. Those colors really work as well. That new M50 is great and the breathability should just enough to do the job and keep the wind from stealing any of your stored heat. How did the final length turn out for you?

PS I sent you an email regarding your most recent order.

Really nice. I made one last year out of M90. Wondering if I should make another one with the M50.

My 3 Season has a M90 outer and I like it, but the M50's hand is soooo much nicer. Not to mention a little liter.

My cut length was 74" and the final length could not have been better. Seriously perfect. Thanks for the heads up on the M50 at Thru Hiker. I'll check my email in just a moment.

Thank you. The only thing about working with the M50 is the thinness makes it a little precarious to start a stitch close to the side of the fabric. I have a few thread balls on some ends. I'll do better next time.
