First night in my new WBBB!

So, yesterday was the first chance I've had since Christmas to go and try out my new WBBB. I was really excited and pumped so my wife (who bought it for me) agreed to come along and bring her ENO. With a full belly of smores (she can't and won't go camping without those marsh mellows and chocolate bars!! lol) I stretch back in my blackbird and fall in love immediately! However, due to my loud mouth on how great it felt and the hang'gasm I was experiencing, the mrs. wanted to take it for a spin. Little did I know, that spin would last ALL NIGHT!! haha! Although VERY short, my first experience in a BB was incredible and I suggest anyone and everyone "take one for a spin "

Congrats on the first hang in the BB - it's a special experience. Great hammock. Your wife has good taste.

Sounds like you might need to give her an early birthday present if your interested in sleeping in your new hammock before she gets a year older.

Hahaha! I didn't think of it that way cleandirt!! You have a point sir! She keeps holding the fact that "she bought it for me" against me for now. Stress on the SHE BOUGHT IT part!

I'd say you married pretty good there! I agree with hcdc11. Get her a hot pink one (or whatever her favorite color is). Then take her hammocking: set yours up, let her crawl in, then set hers up and put a little chocolate mint on the pillow. Then, "carry her across the threshold" and lay her in her own hammock.

Be thankful that your Mrs. likes hammock hanging / camping. My doesn't like either which makes for some tense moments when a new piece of gear arrives.

    Nice!

My WBBB is showing up in the mail today, might take a long lunch and wander off into the woods for a bit

I agree with that. My wife grew up in a family that thought the outdoors was a city in China, lol. I've had the task of teaching her and my two boys all about camping and the outdoors at once. I've got her tent camping as long as it isn't too cold, but the boys would rather sleep in tent than in the house, lol. Our last camping trip was an infamous "memory maker" because it rained cats and dogs for the whole first day and night with tornado warnings. The storm broke two EZ-UP canopies, flooded our first campsite in three inches or water, and a tree fell about 2 feet from my rainfly's guyline. The rest of the weekend was great, lol. We always tend to have better memories and laughs about the camping trips that went badly than the ones that went smoothly.
